Independence Science customers know that our partner Vernier Software & Technology have been selling a product known as a LabQuest2 for the last several years. We even have had calls in the office asking, "How I can obtain a talking one?" Unfortunately up until now, no text-to-speech software was available for this new innovative device.
Now that is all about to change, because this summer, Independence Science will start taking pre-orders for the Sci-Voice Talking LabQuest2. Orders will ship in August 2016. We demonstrated this new powerful device at the National Federation of the Blind and American Council of the Blind conventions. We hope you were able to come to one of these events and see the Sci-Voice Talking LabQuest2.
The new product will be sold as a kit. Each package will include the Sci-Voice Talking LabQuest2, a USB keyboard, and three sensors, stainless steel temperature, differential voltage, and current. Additional sensors will be available from Independence Science on a case by case basis determined on individual customer needs.
What are some of the new features of Sci-Voice Talking LabQuest2?
The Sci-Voice Talking LabQuest2 offers Internet connectivity, a much larger hard drive, faster processor, On-demand published Vernier Lab manuals in electronic format, easier access to personalized settings for text-to-speech playback, statistical analysis data, date and time features, and much more. The scientific calculator is easier to use. An overall better experience for our customers is waiting in Sci-Voice Talking LabQuest2.
For a limited time after official product release, we will be offering an upgrade option for our current customers of Sci-Voice Talking LabQuest to upgrade to the new technology. More details regarding the upgrade program will be in the next Independence Science newsletter.
