v Ensured the provision of essential psychosocial supports to children who have lost their parents to HIV/AIDS and their caregivers. A total of 600 aids orphans received psychological support, rehabilitated and developed coping mechanisms against the stigma surrounded them.
v Followed up the proper implementation of community mobilization and awareness raising activities target the fear and misconception of HIV in the community. A total of 46 volunteer caregivers trained and assisted critically ill bed ridden patients with activities of daily living and make referral to hospitals and clinics
v Provided counseling training for caregivers specifically grief counseling which helps children, as well as their caregivers to understand and respond to the possible behavioral changes that occur as a result of the trauma of losing loved ones and parents. Also provided memory box orientation 146 dying parents put mementos, photos and items of significance in the boxes for their children.
v After 2-year successful counseling services promoted to project coordinator position. Provide counseling services for 600 orphans and caregivers during their challenging situation.
